Matthieu fell into the sport of sailing at the age of 9 and continued until the age of 29 representing Canada several times at the world championships. Towards the end of his national team career, he discovered CrossFit and quickly excelled as a coach and athlete. He is a trainer for CrossFit HQ since 2012, head coach of CrossFit Laval since 2009, founder of Force 5 Programming in 2011 and vice president of CrossFit East since 2011. His specialty is achieving individual goals in a group environment.
He is now a CF-Level 4 certified coach. The first French speaking in the world to have that title.
