Michael, aka Mike, Deboever is Belgian-Canadian. Originally from Belgium, he now lives in Montreal since 2009. He studied a Bacc in Physical Education and a Master in Kinesiology. Upon his arrival in Canada, he wanted to continue working in the field of physical preparation and became interested in CrossFit as a training method. He was immediately hooked on the movement and decided to pursue his career with CrossFit. He attended a multitude of trainings supervised by the entity CrossFit Training and others.

In 2011, he met Reebok and they immediately loved his perspective and approach. They offered him the wonderful project of opening his own CrossFit gym under their banner. This he accepted after many intense negotiations. The years have passed and he has evolved in his career. He is proud to say that his gym was the first in Canada to receive the announcement of one of the workouts of the CrossFit Games Open, the very first of the year 2017.

He is now a translator for CrossFit Training for the certifications and seminars they offer as well as the owner of the YUL CrossFit Center in Montreal.
